This directory is being created
to help children, young people and their families, to find local services offering
information, advice and support. Professional
workers will also find the site useful, as details about each local provider, will
describe the eligibility criteria, geographical location and the referral procedure.
The website has derived from the
governments Information, Sharing and Assessment (ISA) Initiative, which forms part
of the 'Every Child Matters: Change for Children' Strategy.
This aims to encourage local providers of children and young people's services,
to share information and work more closely together.
The Directory aims to provide you
with up-to-date accurate information, mainly about statutory, community and voluntary
services, where you will be able to search for a number of topics/issues, relating
to your needs.
Even though the directory is web
based; you will be able to download and print information, to create your own personalised
directory. The directory is a new service but will continue to develop in
response to people using it, so tell your friends and colleagues.
