Service Description
Our aim is to provide a comprehensive Family Information Service accessible to all parents and carers and other interested parties. Being parent friendly is a primary aim. The FIS will provided FREE accurate, high quality, accessible and impartial information and guidance on all childcare facilities and services that are currently available for children aged 0-19yrs in the local area, both registered and un-registered. We support the Every Child Matters agenda by providing free and impartial information and advice on Being Healthy - information on immunisations to healthy eating, minimising effects of drugs, alcohol and smoking. Keeping Children Safe - information on bullying, internet use, staying safe at home and on the streets. Enjoying & Achieving - preparing for school, family activities, places to go and youth groups. Make a Positive Contribution - volunteering, getting involved, how you can support your children and community.
